About the role

About the Role St Francis Xavier's Catholic School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic unqualified OSHC Educators to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service team on a casual basis. In this entry level role, you will work under general and/or direct supervision, supporting the delivery of engaging, safe and inclusive OSHC and Vacation Care programs and providing a positive experience for children and families . This position is well suited to individuals who are interested in working with children and are looking to develop their skills and experience in OSHC, including those working towards an early childhood qualification. Key Responsibilities • support the implementation of OSHC and Vacation Care activities and routines • assist in creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children • support children's wellbeing, inclusion and daily routines, including personal care where required • build positive and respectful relationships with children, families an team members • follow school policies, procedures and instructions from supervising educators • assist with maintaining accurate records and basic administrative tasks • participate in team meetings, training and professional learning opportunities • model behaviour consistent with Catholic values and school expectations Additional Information About You The successful applicant will demonstrate: • a commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of St Francis Xavier's Catholic School • a genuine interest in working with children in a care and education setting • ability to follow direction and work cooperatively within a team • effective communication skills and a positive, respectful approach • willingness to learn and develop skills in OSHC practice • physical capacity to engage in active play and assist with setting up resources • an understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and duty of care Experience working with children, including children with additional needs, is desirable but not essential. Essential Requirements • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certification • Approved First Aid qualification, including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain) • Capacity to meet Work Health and Safety obligations How to Apply 1.
