Job Summary: The MS Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading practices and coaching MS Girls Volleyball during the season. This role supports the athletic and personal development of student-athletes by promoting teamwork, skill-building, and sportsmanship in a positive and inclusive environment. The position collaborates closely with the Athletics and After-School department to align with school values and ensure a safe, engaging experience for all participants. Specific Responsibilities: Plans and leads all volleyball practices for the middle school girls teaching age-appropriate volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies. Coaches all scheduled games, including travel to away games, while positively representing St. Thomas School. Promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual skill development, and supports player growth aligned with program expectations and core competencies. Ensures the safety, supervision, and well-being of all student-athletes. Communicates clearly with players, families, and the school community about schedules, expectations, and team progress. Partners with the Director of Athletics and After-School Programs to support program goals and team culture. Manages equipment, as well as oversees set up and cleanup for practices and games. Upholds and models the mission, values, and strategic priorities of STS. Demonstrates respect for diverse perspectives and a commitment to equity and inclusion. Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion. Adheres to school policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and After-School Programs.
