The Locksmith carries out repair, maintenance and replacement of doors, door locks and related hardware. Key Responsibilities Carries out the repair, maintenance and replacement of doors, door locks and related hardware (including passenger suitcases). Makes new and spare keys. Keeps inventory on tools and materials. Other duties as assigned by FTSO. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise License and/or schooling Flag State issued Seaman Book Experience Prior experience at HAL preferred Minimum 2 years vessel experience. Training required prior to boarding STCW – Basic Safety Training certificate (part 4) STCW – Familiarization and crowd management training STCW – Security Awareness Benefits For the safety of yourself and others on board certain physical abilities are expected to be maintained. Must be able to bend, climb, perform repetitive motion, and repetitively heavy lift. Must be able to work varied shifts which can average up to 12 hours per day everyday while on board. Must maintain physical fitness to perform tasks associated with job.
