Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with Oncology Sub-Specialty Experience

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) has an opportunity available for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who has oncology subspecialty experience. The APP’s duties will include management of Oncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The APP will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care. The APP will work in PSMC’s Cancer Center forty hours per week (four 10-hours on-site shifts) to meet PSMC patient needs. PSMC offers the following compensation and benefits for this position: Compensation is dependent upon experience and the range is: Nurse Practitioner: $62.50 to $81.73 per hour. Physician Assistant: $60.00 to $77.00 per hour Starting work bonus: $10,000 260 hours of PTO per contract year. PSMC provides a CME allowance of $6,000 annually for full-time providers (gross subject to taxes). Health insurance benefits are available to full-time employees. PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage to all employed providers. PSMC has two retirement programs: PSMC and the employee each contribute 6% of earnings to a 401a retirement plan subject to I.R.S. contribution and compensation limits and five-year vesting; and Employees may voluntarily participate in a 457 retirement plan.
