Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Barrackpore Department: Data & Strategy CTC: 3LPA Role Overview The Data Analyst – Collection & Recovery will be responsible for analyzing collection performance, tracking delinquency trends, and generating actionable insights to improve recovery rates. This role will closely work with field collection teams, finance, and operations to drive data-backed decision-making and optimize collection strategies. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly collection data (DPD buckets, recovery %, roll rates, etc.) Prepare dashboards and MIS reports for leadership review Track performance of collection agencies and field executives Monitor portfolio health and highlight risk areas proactively 2. Collection Strategy Support Identify trends in defaults and suggest corrective actions Support segmentation of customers based on risk and repayment behavior Provide insights for improving recovery strategies and allocation models Analyze effectiveness of collection campaigns and initiatives 3. Process Optimization Identify inefficiencies in collection processes and recommend improvements Work with tech/product teams to automate reports and dashboards Improve data accuracy, validation, and standardization across systems 4. Stakeholder Collaboration Coordinate with field collection teams for data validation and insights Work with finance for reconciliation of collected vs outstanding amounts Support management with ad-hoc analysis and decision-making inputs 5. Compliance & Data Governance Ensure data integrity and confidentiality Maintain proper documentation of reports and analysis frameworks Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements Key Metrics / KPIs Collection efficiency (%) Recovery rate across delinquency buckets Reduction in NPA / overdue accounts Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reporting Improvement in roll-back rates (higher bucket to lower bucket movement) Required Skills & Qualifications Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related field MBA / PG in Analytics or Finance (preferred) Experience 1–4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in collections, NBFC, fintech, or lending domain Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, dashboards) Working knowledge of SQL Understanding of collection metrics (DPD, PAR, NPA, roll rates) Behavioral Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work with cross-functional teams Good communication and presentation skills Preferred Experience Experience in EV, battery financing, NBFC, or asset-based lending Exposure to field collection operations data Familiarity with CRM or loan management systems Compensation & Benefits As per industry standards Performance-driven incentives (if applicable) Growth Opportunities Exposure to core lending and recovery analytics Opportunity to move into strategy, risk analytics, or operations leadership roles
