Adjunct Professor of Genetics

Job Summary: MidAmerica Nazarene University, located in Olathe, Kansas, invites qualified candidates to apply for an Adjunct Professor to teach a Genetics lecture course and corresponding lab. This course is the study of the fundamental principles of inheritance considering the molecular, cytological, and population evidence. This course is a requirement for all Biology majors. The instructor must be willing to travel to MNU. Genetics lecture is being offered on Mondays and Thursday 8:00-9:15. Genetics lab is being offered on Tuesdays 3:00-6:00. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate section of Genetics and related lab Develop and deliver engaging course materials, including syllabi, lectures, labs, and assessments aligned with the course learning outcome Facilitate laboratory sessions, ensuring student safety and competency in standard genetic techniques Integrate current scientific literature and real-world applications into coursework Thoughtfully address the intersection of genetics and Christian faith within the curriculum where appropriate Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner Provide meaningful, constructive feedback on assignments and exams
