Overview The Director, Global Supply Chain leads the development and execution of Reading Bakery Systems ’ global sourcing, supplier management, and logistics strategies. This position ensures a reliable, cost-effective, and compliant supply network that supports the company’s engineering, manufacturing, and service operations. The role requires strong strategic and operational expertise in global procurement and logistics, along with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions and regions. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy that aligns with company goals and operational priorities. Identify, evaluate, and approve suppliers worldwide to achieve performance, quality, and cost objectives. Negotiate supplier agreements and long-term contracts to support business continuity and risk management. Thorough understanding of international logistics, including freight management, customs processes, and trade compliance. Collaborate with project management, engineering, manufacturing, and customer care teams to align sourcing and logistics activities with business needs. Analyze supply chain performance, cost, and risk to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Monitor global market trends , material availability, and regulatory developments affecting sourcing and logistics. Lead initiatives focused on supplier performance, cost control, and sustainability.
