Internal Job Title: CX Design & Development - UX/UI Specialist II Onsite Location: League City, Texas – Marina Plaza Position Type: Full-time, salaried Reports to: Multimedia Art Director Portfolio Requirement To be considered, candidates should include a portfolio link or work samples that show at minimum, two + relevant projects, including their role, design process, and final outcomes. American National is seeking a UX/UI Specialist II with a strong focus on UI design to help shape intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences across our growing digital platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on product designer who is strong in Figma, thrives in an Agile environment where close collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders is essential, and is excited to bring user-centered design thinking to web and mobile experiences. What You’ll Do • Design clean, responsive, and user-friendly digital experiences for web and mobile platforms, including customer-facing and internal enterprise platforms • Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and production-ready specifications using Figma • Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX researchers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements and research insights into effective design solutions • Contribute to and maintain design system standards, reusable components, and consistent visual patterns across digital products • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and cross-functional design discussions • Present design recommendations clearly and confidently, using research, analytics, usability feedback, and business context to support decisions • Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, including AI-assisted workflows and emerging design tools What We’re Looking For • Two + years of UX/UI, product design, visual design, or related digital design experience • Intermediate to advanced Figma skills, including auto layout, components, variables, prototyping, and design system management • Strong understanding of responsive design, interaction design, information hierarchy, and accessibility best practices • Experience designing for digital products, enterprise applications, dashboards, client portals, or similar user-facing platforms • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business teams • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your design process, level of ownership, and examples of shipped or production-ready work Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments • Background in insurance, financial services, healthcare, fintech, or another highly regulated industry • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or design-adjacent tools • Familiarity with React, CSS, Tailwind, developer handoff, or design-to-development collaboration • Interest in AI-enabled design workflows and tools that improve speed, consistency, and collaboration Why Join Us This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on customer-facing digital experiences during an exciting period of platform growth and innovation.
