About the role
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Robotics Technician (Mechatronics), you’ll be building the precise, complex, humanoid robots from component-level up to complete build. You’ll work with hardware engineering, systems integration, test, and advanced manufacturing to ensure our builds are executed accurately and efficiently, supporting a fast-paced R&D environment where every day counts. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the AI robotics revolution WHAT YOU'LL DO Start: September 2026 - Assembly - Build electro-mechanical assemblies according to CAD, drawings, and work instructions. - Perform precise mechanical assembly using standard hand tools, adhesive applicators, crimp tools, torque wrenches, and labellers. - Route complex harnesses according to instructions provided, labelling and securing as defined. - Apply and record serial numbers to tracked assets Test and QC - Testing of assemblies using jigs, fixtures, electrical test equipment, and compute devices - Document findings and the results of tests Culture and Quality - Adopt and support the team culture to drive collaboration and morale - Treat the tools and equipment with respect, maintaining them as necessary and reporting faults and damage - Engage in ongoing and regular activities to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop Be a High-Speed Collaborator - Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow technicians, engineers, and leadership. - Adapt quickly to changing priorities—jump in wherever help is needed. - Contribute ideas to improve the speed, reliability, and quality of builds. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Demonstrable experience in electromechanical assembly, or low-rate production of complex systems. - Proven ability to work with electromechanical systems—ideally in robotics, aerospace, or automotive. - Strong attention to detail and a deep sense of build quality and safety. - Ability to read CAD, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams. - Hands-on experience with common tools, fixtures, soldering, torqueing, etc. - You move fast, stay organized, and take pride in solving problems in real time. - Comfortable working in a fluid, high-urgency environment with evolving designs and short timelines. WHAT WE OFFER - Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of annual leave (accrued), 15 days of paid sick leave, and paid company holidays. - Fully funded private healthcare for UK employees, with broad provider access, virtual and in‑person care, and strong mental health and serious illness support. - Equity included–we believe builders should share in what they build. - Pension scheme with a total 8% contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings. - Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in‑office. - Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics. - Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
