Temporary Relief Teachers

The Opportunity St Martin’s Catholic Primary School is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teacher Relief (TRT) teachers to join our relief pool. We are looking for passionate educators who can confidently step into classrooms and maintain high standards of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. Position Type: Relief Teacher (TRT) Employment Status: Casual/Relief Classification Level: Salary range GT1 to PT5, depending on qualifications and years of teaching experience. Key Responsibilities • Deliver planned lessons — follow the classroom teacher’s program, learning intentions, and assessment requirements to maintain continuity for students • Manage classroom behaviour — apply school wide behaviour expectations, maintain a calm and productive learning environment, and respond appropriately to disruptions. • Supervise students safely — ensure duty of care in the classroom, playground, transitions, and any scheduled yard duties. • Adapt quickly to different year levels — teach across primary as required, adjusting instruction to student needs and school context.
