As an independent NGO, Action Against Hunger USA currently manages operations in 8 countries: Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia and Haiti. I. Job Summary The Regional Recruiter will support the organization’s talent acquisition needs during a three-month assignment. The Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensure timely selection of candidates while maintaining compliance with organization policies and donor requirements. Purpose: The Regional Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and implementing the full recruitment cycle from requisition approval to job offer. Engagement: The Regional Recruiter will report to the Human Resource Director. This role will also liaise with the Chief People and Strategy Officer, the Regional Director, Hiring Managers and the Senior Recruiter to complete the recruitment of priority roles Delivery: II. Essential Job Duties 1: Recruitment and Selection • Coordinate the full recruitment cycle from requisition approval to job offer • Develop and publish vacancy announcements on the system and other platforms • Source, screen and shortlist qualified candidates • Liaise with hiring managers to schedule interviews and coordinate selection panels • Participate in interviews and provide guidance to hiring managers 2: Talent Acquisition Support • Source candidates utilizing sourcing methods, such as LinkedIn, online job boards, professional networks and referrals • Maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers regarding the recruitment process • Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process 3. HR Administration • Maintain an accurate recruitment tracker and recruitment records throughout the process • Complete recruitment reports and provide status updates • Ensure that all recruitment documentation complies with organization and legal requirements 4. Compliance • Ensure recruitment process and documentation adhere to Action Against Hunger HR polices and safeguarding standards • Ensure promotion of equal employment opportunities and diversity during the recruitment process • Maintain confidentiality and data protection in line with the organization’s standards III. Physical Demands • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with interruptions. • To travel to the field, the employee must attest to a level of physical fitness capable of enduring physically difficult, highly stressful situations which may include the necessity to walk long distances, to eat a limited diet and/or to reside in potentially uncomfortable housing or tents. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working Conditions, Travel and Environment • The duties of the job require regular job attendance of at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required by contact with the missions, mission security, or other obligations. • Must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business travel as well as to the missions if appropriate. While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases. VIII. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field IX. Required Skills & Experience • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition • Experience recruiting for humanitarian, development, or non-governmental organizations. • Experience managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously • Experience using recruitment systems, LinkedIn and other platforms • Verbal and written communication skills • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure. • Candidates must have a strong understanding & experience of Humanitarian Principles • IT skills and experience • Fluency in English is required This is an urgently required position and applications will be reviewed as they are received.
