Job Summary : The Special Projects Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of special projects across Hickmans Egg Ranch. This role involves supporting construction, maintenance, and operational initiatives that fall outside the scope of routine activities. The Special Projects Specialist will work closely with different departments to ensure the timely completion of projects, providing technical expertise, hands-on labor, and project management support as needed. Responsibilities and Duties : Assist in planning and executing special projects related to construction, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and other operational improvements. Provide hands-on labor and technical support for project-related tasks, including operating mechanical tools and equipment. Coordinate with various departments (e.g., Maintenance, Operations, Logistics) to ensure project goals and timelines are met. Monitor project progress, report on key milestones, and address any issues or delays. Ensure that all project activities adhere to company safety policies, biosecurity protocols, and regulatory standards. Maintain a clean and organized worksite during project execution, ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are handled safely and efficiently. Assist in sourcing materials and equipment required for special projects, ensuring timely delivery and proper inventory management. Conduct site inspections to identify project needs, develop work plans, and ensure work is completed to specification. Assist with budgeting and cost management for special projects, tracking expenses and ensuring efficient resource use. Collaborate with external contractors or vendors when necessary to ensure specialized tasks are completed to company standards. Support the Special Projects Manager or Operations Manager in project planning, documentation, and reporting.
