Loss Prevention Attendant

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Loss Prevention Attendant Department: Guest Services/Security Salary Range: D.O.E. Reports to: Guest Services Manager Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY Interact and assist customers, the general public and other personnel on marina site, docks, walkways and parking lots in a professional, polite, pressed and prompt manner. Providing marina & dock oriented services, primarily loss prevention including, but not limited to identifying safety and security concerns related to persons and properties of the company, client, guests and/or visitors. Responsibilities include care-taking; within and and around property site of debris, spills, and other potential hazards or related concerns. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES Monitor and patrol property site to determine and report unusual or unauthorized activities; Conduct regular safety and security checks on buildings, doors, windows, docks slips & other assigned areas; Conducting traffic control and providing directions or information; Maintain properties in safe and secure manner; picking up trash, debris, or other hazards; Respond to incidents or activities, including reporting incidents to law enforcement and providing support to employees and customers; Assisting emergency responders in events or critical incidents (i.e. fire, injuries, etc.); Maintaining accurate records of incidents and investigations; Assist with transporting guests and staff; properties, luggage, supplies & equipment; Test and evaluate alarm systems, conduct monthly fire extinguisher audits; Conducting escort, transportation, or witness of people, property and assets; Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
