HVAC Technician

SCOPE : Responsible for maintenance work necessary for the upkeep and operation of buildings and equipment belonging to the Housing Authority. ACCOUNTABILITY: Directly responsible to the Director Technical Services. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Works in heating, air-conditioning and general maintenance. Ensures the technical correctness of tasks performed. Evaluates assigned tasks, makes work plans and estimates the work hours, materials, tools, cost and time required to complete the task. Plans, assigns, supervises, inspects, and evaluates the work of subordinates. Performs, directs and/or monitors work which is directly related to license. Instructs and trains other employees in safe and proper operating practices for equipment and tools. Responds to emergency (night and weekend) demands. Supervises and/or prepares work orders and time reports. Investigates and reports on damages to Authority property. Performs other duties as assigned.
