CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities: Prescription Processing: Receive and process new and refill prescriptions. Verify prescription details and update patient profiles. Prepare medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging. Ensure accuracy and readiness for pharmacist review. Customer Service: Greet patients and answer phone calls professionally. Assist patients with prescription pickups and refer medication questions to the pharmacist. Ensure patients receive counseling for new prescriptions. Inventory Management: Order, receive, and store medications and supplies. Check expiration dates and remove outdated items. Maintain inventory records and assist with audits. Pharmacy Operations: File prescriptions and maintain documentation. Help train new staff and follow safety and sanitation procedures. Operate pharmacy software for billing, reporting, and inventory tracking. Team Communication: Report issues to supervisors and suggest improvements. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with patients and coworkers.
