About the role

Job Summary: The Accountant - Receivable is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable function. This includes processing customer invoices, tracking customer payments, and reconciling customer accounts. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Reports To: Finance Manager Work Location: Kukum Head Office Responsibilities: Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Track customer payments and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions. Manage the company's customer relationships and respond to customer inquiries. Monitor and report on overdue customer accounts and take appropriate action to collect outstanding debts. Prepare and review monthly accounts receivable reports. Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Provide support to the accounting and finance team as required. Measurable Responsibilities: Process all customer invoices within 2 business days of receipt, ensuring that all invoices are accurate and complete. Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions, including receipts, invoices, and payment details. Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions. Ensure timely collection of all outstanding debts, with no debts outstanding beyond 90 days. Provide support to the accounting and finance team during the annual audit process. Requirements Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in accounting software and systems, such as MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
