About the role
At Steadfast Health, we're on a mission to deliver hope, healing, and long-term health to those experiencing substance use disorder, through best-in-class addiction treatment and an unwavering belief that lasting recovery comes from partnering with our patients as respected equals in their care journey. We're a passionate team striving to raise the standard of compassionate care for our patients, and we know that to do that, we must care for our people first.
Base salary range: $90,000 - $110,000, with a 10% performance-based bonus program.
Is This You?
This role is built for someone who has managed the day-to-day of an outpatient behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment clinic. You know what it means to run a clinic where clinical caseloads, harm reduction philosophy, and patient census directly shape daily operations, and you're fluent in the specific rhythms of behavioral health care delivery.
Why This Role Exists
We're hiring the founding Clinic Manager for our new outpatient SUD treatment center in Raleigh, NC. Steadfast Health operates clinics across multiple states, and Raleigh will be our next launch using a playbook refined through every prior launch: proven hiring processes, clinical protocols, and operational systems that let a new Clinic Manager focus on building a strong local team and culture rather than inventing infrastructure from zero.
This isn't a from-scratch build: you'll have the benefit of Steadfast's existing operational playbook, clinical standards, and organizational support, while still getting the ground-floor experience of shaping your own team and clinic culture from day one.
What You've Done Before
- Managed daily operations of an outpatient behavioral health, mental health, or SUD clinic, including staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflow
- Operated within a harm reduction, non-punitive care model — and can speak to how that philosophy shapes day-to-day decisions
- Managed clinical caseloads and patient census alongside a clinical team (therapists, case managers, peer support staff, APPs)
- Used behavioral-health-specific EHR and reporting tools to track KPIs like patient retention, no-show rates, and access times
- Navigated the specific regulatory and accreditation landscape of behavioral health/SUD treatment (e.g., CARF, state SUD licensure requirements)
Responsibilities
Operations & P&L Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring high-quality care delivery, strong team morale, efficiency, and compliance
- Own the clinic's P&L, managing budgets, revenue, and expenses to drive financial sustainability and growth
- Own key metrics such as retention, no-show rates, access times, and productivity to ensure the clinic meets its operational goals
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead by example, mentor, and develop staff to cultivate a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment • Ensure strong hiring, onboarding, and talent development processes to drive employee satisfaction and high-quality patient care delivery • Foster an environment where staff feel heard and supported, conducting regular 1:1s and team meetings to align goals, address challenges, and ensure accountability <p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" data-sourcepo
