Our portfolio comprises of a vast range of pharmaceuticals, consumer health and animal health products as well as medical and laboratory equipment and consumables. HealthActiv is presently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant who will be responsible for the company’s daily and monthly accounting duties. This position requires strong organisational skill and comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger. Key Responsibilities •Oversee full accounting operations. •Responsible for month end transactions. •Maintain efficient and detailed audit P&L and Balance Sheet schedules. •Perform efficient and timely bank reconciliations. •Assist in preparing and monitoring weekly cash flow forecasts. •Maintain accurate FAR. •Monitor and follow up on trade finance facilities. •Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy. •Prepare computations for TDS and VAT returns. •Attend to queries from GM, HOF, Finance Manager and all other HODs of the different business units. •Attend to audit queries from external and internal auditors by providing supporting documents. •Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports. •Prepare yearly budget. •Attend to any other assigned duties. Job Requirements •BSC/BCOM in Accounting and ACCA/ACA Level 3. •Prior audit exposure will be an advantage. •At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial environment. •Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with accounting software. •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. •Fluent in Microsoft Office applications. •Rigor, accuracy, organisation and respect of deadlines. •Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
