About the role
Job Overview: The Online Course Development Coordinator is responsible for hosting virtual online trainings, so the role requires someone with excellent verbal communication skills and a professional yet interesting sounding voice. The Online Course Development Coordinator should come with the skills to run engaging online/on-demand courses, and must be ready to meet members’ learning needs, help members with problems and provide support to instructors and learners alike. Additional duties include working with instructors on course scripts, preparing instructors to use our webinar training platform and making sure that any additional material (such as slides or handouts) are ready and available to our members. Reports to Senior Director of Professional Development. Responsibilities: Providing an industry-leading learning experience for our members through our LMS Facilitating and recording multiple online training courses using our training platform Being aware of exactly what state all the courses in AASC University are in, including which deliverables are ready & when, course prep timelines and roll-out deadlines Delivering presenter prep training sessions and ensuring that presenter’s questions are answered. Project coordination (scheduling courses and tracking down PowerPoint presentations & materials) Keeping our presenter pool current and attendees engaged Performing post-course functions, including evaluation and participation tracking Act as training facilitator, host, and on-air moderator (reading scripts, promos, and announcements; providing tech support for attendees as needed) Quickly reacting to potential technical difficulties related to our LMS and webinar offerings Other duties as assigned, including annual conference functions Key Competencies: Successful candidates will be confident, positive, outgoing and professional Should have a media lite personality: upbeat, high-energy and enthusiastic Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills Excellent and timely customer service skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize and meet deadlines Able to juggle priorities while maintaining flexibility to allow for last minute changes Well organized, detail oriented and maintain a high standard of accuracy Work well under pressure; react to issues calmly and remain in control Must work well with limited supervision and be self-motivated Qualifications Required: Four-year college degree, or combination of relevant education and work experience Experience running live courses, webinars and other similar trainings Hands-on experience related to producing virtual and on-demand courses Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, PDFs, Excel etc. Experience using GoToMeetings, GoToWebinar or GoToTraining or similar programs Able to work in a collaborative environment and across departments Experience in working with diverse populations Ability to build credibility and rapport with audiences Willingness to travel overnight one to two times per year Preferred: Experience working within association management or a non-profit organization Experience using iSpring (PPT with Flash; interactive content software) and Knowledge Direct (interactive learning management portal) technology Experience using association management and web-based meetings/webinar software Knowledge and use of social media in a business setting Education or experience in social work a plus An understanding of service coordination also a plus Candidates without references and a cover letter will not be considered.
