Join Our Team as a Hotline Counselor! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Do you have a strong background in crisis intervention and a desire to provide vital support to those in need? Childhelp is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hotline Counselor to join our National Child Abuse Hotline team. In this role, you'll provide crucial crisis intervention, education, and resource information to help-seekers contacting us via call, text, or chat. You'll be instrumental in creating action plans using our evidence-informed practice model, addressing critical issues such as child abuse, family conflict, domestic violence, and mental health concerns. What You'll Do: Provide Counseling Services: Offer empathetic and undivided attention to help-seekers through phone calls, texts, and live chats, understanding their immediate needs and developing brief action plans. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately and completely enter relevant data into our Hotline database in a timely manner, and report information to authorities when legally required. Maintain Quality Standards: Stay current on all laws, regulations, policies, and practices related to child abuse and neglect, ensuring adherence to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and contractual obligations. Collaborate and Grow: Attend staff meetings, complete required trainings, and actively participate in team discussions to identify effective approaches and interventions. Engage in reflective supervision to continuously improve your skills.
