POSITION TITLE : INDUSTRIAL PLANT ELECTRICIAN DEPARTMENT : Maintenance REPORTS TO : Manager, Maintenance HOURS/SCHEDULE : Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm * overtime may be required occasionally HOURLY/SALARY STATUS : Hourly/Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW : The Industrial Plant Electrician is responsible for performing technical maintenance/installation of electrical systems, repair and installation functions according to all safety and Company guidelines. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and written specifications Ability to safely complete commercial/industrial wiring Ability to troubleshoot Single/Three Phase systems Ability to complete conduit bending, reaming, and threading of pipe Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC’s Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, infrared, and manual controls Perform routine skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment Complete preventative maintenance requirements as assigned Perform a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to HVAC systems, plumbing, doors, windows, roofs and other building components. Perform press safety inspections as assigned Responsible for completing safety related/OSHA compliance projects Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations Ability to follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures Support 6S initiatives Carry Company cell phone as required for on-call maintenance Overtime as required COMPETENCIES : (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) “Safety first” mindset Ability to perform in high stress fast paced manufacturing environment Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities Highly motivated self-starter Team player with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal teams Strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred 3 to 5 years’ experience working in Industrial Maintenance environment Minimum Journeyman Electrical License Interpret and understand the National Electrical Code Proficient on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems Working knowledge of all OSHA required standards PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Lift, carry, push and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required JOIN A TEAM THAT BUILDS MORE THAN GREAT PRODUCTS At Hussey Seating Company, we’re more than a manufacturer – we’re a family-owned company that has been building places where people come together since 1835. Hussey Seating Company uses a market-based approach to compensation. The anticipated starting range for this position is $26.85 to $40.27 per hour. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and the responsibilities of the position.
