Specialist, NPI Strategic Sourcing

We are seeking a strategic Sourcing Specialist to proceed global sourcing and supplier management for power systems, power supplies, and electronic turnkey solutions within a telecom manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for the category strategy, including supplier selection, risk mitigation, quoting, coordination with Engineering and R&D to manage drawings, NPI launches and continuous year over year cost optimization across the power supply base. How You'll Help Us Connect the World: Category Strategy & Execution Develop and execute global category strategies for: Identify Cost Competitive suppliers to support the Power Plant Roadmap. Power plants (DC systems, rectifiers, backup systems) Power supplies & conversion modules, electronic assy & turnkey products (EMS/ODM/OEM) Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and design-to-cost Analyze market trends, cost drivers & supplier landscapes to maintain competitive advantage Supplier Management Identify, onboard, and develop Global strategic suppliers Lead supplier negotiations on Pricing, Contracts and LTAs, Capacity and lead times Establish supplier performance metrics (KPIs): Cost, Quality, Delivery, Technology/innovation Cross-Functional Collaboration Engineering (for design alignment and NPI) Quality (for supplier qualification and audits), Operations (for supply continuity) Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs with sourcing strategies and supplier selection Supply Chain Optimization Manage risk mitigation strategies: Dual sourcing, Localization strategies, Geopolitical / supply risk analysis Optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the category Lead make vs. buy decisions and supplier consolidation efforts Required Qualifications for Consideration: 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred), or Supply Chain (Business or related field), 2. 5+ years in sourcing/procurement/category management 3. Experience in telecom equipment manufacturing or similar industries 4. Strong experience sourcing: Power systems (DC plants, rectifiers, UPS, converters) Power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC) Electronics / PCBA / EMS / turnkey solutions 5. Solid understanding of: Power electronics and telecom infrastructure systems Electronic components and assemblies Manufacturing processes (PCBA, box build, integration) Cost breakdown analysis (materials, labor, overhead) 6. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications 7. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) 8.
