Music Therapist, Thought Disorders Unit

Plans and develops, coordinates, executes, and evaluates music therapy sessions primarily geared to assigned population. Communicates with patients based on an understanding of their developmental needs and diagnoses. Uses music to facilitate changes, or to maintain functioning, which contributes to the patient’s quality of life. Implements programs based on a variety of specific individual or group needs. Evaluates and records patients' progress in the electronic medical record (EMR); contributes verbal information in treatment team meetings regarding patients' progress.
