Luxury Senior Living Communities In Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead Is looking for Occupational Therapist for its Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center 11215 SW 84th Street Miami, FL 33173 Joint Commission Accredited, 2015 The #1 Priority of this position is… To provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the home and to assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s level of function by applying diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Schedule residents for treatment and evaluations. • Guide the patient in his/her use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function. • Observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record to report to the physician the resident’s reaction to the treatment. • Instruct the resident, family members and other health team personnel, when appropriate, in therapeutic procedures. • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility. Qualifications • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy. • Minimum of two years of clinical experience. • Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida • Previous experience in long-term care preferred. • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred. • Basic math skills required. The Ideal Candidate • Responsible, self-motivated, punctual, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented. • Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies. • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task. #ZR
