Part-Time Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to support medical and safety efforts onsite at a client location in Randleman, North Carolina. Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00am - 8:00am (4 hours per week) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Employee Care, Treatment and Testing: Provide return-to-work clearances and adjust or modify return-to-work restrictions to ensure the employee can safely perform job duties Provides first-aid, medical treatment and appropriate follow-up to occupationally ill/injured workers consistent with appropriate Workers’ Compensation standards and laws. Provides first-aid or minimal incidental care and treatment and appropriate follow-up for non-occupational conditions consistent with appropriate standards for an employer on-site clinic and laws. Assists onsite RN in performing regulatory testing as needed. Performs effective case management follow-up for injuries/illness and absences. Provides counseling to employees on employment risk reduction initiatives as needed. Clinic Management Maintains frequent communication with Consulting Medical Director and Program Manager-Onsite Services regarding all clinic issues and client requests. Medical Records and Private Health Information Maintains employee health records and databases. Computer data entry of all employee demographic and health information. Responsibly handles and guards Protected Health Information. Follows all applicable HIPAA laws, regulations, and guidelines. Client Interaction: Develops and maintains good relationships with client management, medical and safety personnel, co-workers and WorkCare supervisors and managers. Communicates with appropriate client management frequently. Provides timely, accurate reporting as dictated by client, WorkCare and by law. Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.
