Summary The EC W&D Manager is responsible for overseeing transportation operations across Drayage, OTR, Intermodal, and specialized transportation services, ensuring the delivery of efficient and reliable logistics solutions. This role manages transportation execution, carrier coordination, customer support, and operational issue resolution to maintain service quality and operational excellence. A key responsibility of this position is leading the company's Third-Party Logistics (TPL) business operations centered around the Savannah Warehouse. The role drives operational stability, process standardization, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and service enhancements to support business growth and customer satisfaction. In addition, the EC W&D Manager proactively manages operational risks, customer escalations, and transportation disruptions while leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service performance, and overall profitability. Responsibilities Lead and Execute Transportation & Warehouse Operations • Lead and oversee daily transportation and warehouse operations, including Drayage, OTR, Intermodal, Heavy Haul, inbound/outbound distribution, inventory management, and value-added services (VAS) • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and operational standards Warehouse & Inventory Management • Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle count programs • Manage inventory accuracy, warehouse capacity utilization, labor productivity, and order fulfillment performance • Develop and enforce warehouse SOPs, process controls, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives • Lead warehouse resource planning, workforce management, and facility optimization to support business growth Logistics Network & Resource Management • Manage transportation networks, warehouse operations, carriers, ports, rail terminals, and third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless supply chain execution • Oversee capacity planning, equipment utilization, inventory movement, and operational risk mitigation strategies • Drive effective coordination across internal teams and external partners to maintain operational continuity Customer & Financial Performance Management • Serve as the primary operational leader for key customer accounts and strategic business partners • Monitor operational KPIs, customer service performance, transportation costs, warehouse expenses, and profitability targets • Lead customer reviews, QBRs, issue resolution activities, and service improvement initiatives to strengthen customer relationships and business growth Leadership & Continuous Improvement • Lead, develop, and mentor transportation and warehouse operations teams to achieve organizational objectives • Establish performance metrics, operational best practices, and process improvement programs to enhance productivity and service quality • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and operational optimization while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Process Improvement • Identify inefficiencies and implement operational improvements • Support SOP standardization and best practices System & Data Management • Ensure accurate data entry and system usage (TMS, Genysis) • Support EDI integration and system optimization Cross-functional Coordination • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams • Support bidding, implementation, and account transition Compensation Range $94,413 - $105,630 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection) Benefits of working at GLOVIS America Inc. • Medical Insurance • Vision Insurance • Dental Insurance • Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) • Basic Life and AD&D as well as Short-Term & Long-Term Disability • Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Sick leave • Hospital and Critical Illness Insurance • Wellness Program and Gym Reimbursement* • 401(k) with Generous Matching • Referral Bonuses* • Auto Allowance* • Quarterly Employee Lunches, Summer Refreshments, and Monthly Team Building Activities* • Discretionary Bonuses* • Tuition Reimbursement* *Benefits may vary by location. All benefits pursuant to Company policy Skills • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations (Ocean, Air, Drayage, OTR) • Ability to supervise daily operations and manage team performance • Experience with TMS / ERP systems • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills • Ability to manage KPIs (On-time delivery, cost, service quality) • Effective communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams • Basic financial understanding (cost, revenue, margin) • Leadership skills (coaching, training, performance management) • Data analysis and reporting skills (Excel or Power BI) Education & Experience Required Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree • 7-10 years of Freight Forwarding Operations (Ocean, Air, Drayage) Transportation Management (OTR, Intermodal) experience • 1-3 years supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications • Master's Degree • 10+ years of Freight Forwarding Operations (Ocean, Air, Drayage) Transportation Management (OTR, Intermodal) experience • Automotive or manufacturing logistics experience, Warehouse & Distribution coordination experience • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification Glovis America, Inc. adheres to the equal employment opportunity guidelines set forth by federal, state, and local laws.
