Group Fitness Instructor

Ask us how we do it at the Y- it's awesome! • Flexible work schedule What is needed for this job: • 18+ years of age • High school diploma or equivalent • YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence The responsibilities we will trust you with: • Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness • Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards • Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles • Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility • Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction • Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes • Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents What you can expect: • To be a part of a fun, diverse team • For your supervisor to be your biggest supporter • To have hundreds of class options to teach • Flexibility that works around your life After reading this, if you’re thinking this is great- Let’s gooooooo!
