About the role
Are you active in a church or church-related organisation, and curious about how your experience could be applied in a new way? At ChurchDesk – now also including Hagru – we are expanding in the Netherlands and are looking for a Church Advisor to join our team in Groningen. We are looking for someone who understands church life and is passionate about helping it develop. Together, we support churches with digital tools that strengthen communication, organisation, and community life. You may not see yourself as a traditional salesperson, but you are motivated by meaningful, consultative conversations with churches and by guiding them in adopting tools that support their work. Does this sound like you? You know church life from the inside — as staff, a volunteer, or in a church-related organisation. With us, that knowledge becomes the foundation for something new: you'll have conversations with churches about digital tools that make their day-to-day easier (communication, organisation, fundraising). Yes, this involves sales. No, you don't need to be an experienced salesperson. We'll teach you how to sell in a consultative way — you bring the understanding of church life that can't be taught. Your Role: Advisory and Outreach As a Church Advisor, your main responsibility is to open doors to churches and local congregations that are not yet using Hagru or ChurchDesk products. Reach out and lead conversations: You enjoy engaging with new people and are genuinely curious to understand their daily workflows, challenges, and long-term vision for their church. Drive the process forward: You take ownership of expanding awareness and adoption of the products. You follow the full journey from first contact through to agreement and onboarding. Create value through communication: You present ChurchDesk to church councils, staff, and volunteers, using your understanding of their daily reality to make digital tools relevant and meaningful. Act as a trusted sparring partner: You use your understanding of church structures and decision-making processes to build long-term, trust-based relationships across the church landscape in the Netherlands.
