Shift/Hours/Location: M-F, 8am-5pm, Onsite/Hybrid, Moses Lake, WA WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON End-to-End Product Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of multiple technical products, including product development, market analysis, supply chain optimization, cost structure evaluation, and profitability assessment. Product Vision & Strategy: Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Gather, manage, and prioritize market and customer requirements while providing guidance and support to the program management team. Financial Performance Management: Actively manage Profit & Loss, including cost structure, pricing strategies, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Product Development & Improvement: Develop and execute strategies for new product development (NPD) and continuous product improvement. Program Advisory: Acts as advisor to the program team on project tasks and operations Requirements Definition: Establish detailed product requirements, including specifications and metrology standards. Strategic Planning: Create, own, and continuously refine product strategies and tactical plans to ensure alignment with business objectives. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct global market research to assess capacity, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing trends for effective product marketing. Customer-Centric Innovation: Define customer requirements for next-generation products to drive innovation and competitiveness. Phase Gate Reviews: Lead and approve all tasks and deliverables for Phase 0 and Phase 1, and review/approve subsequent Phase Gate Reviews (PGR). Business Case Development: Develop and realize comprehensive business cases to support product initiatives and strategic investments. Costing Oversight: Approve costing/proposed pricing and assist with complex requests, including new warehousing solutions and shipping challenges. Forecast Validation: Run and validate forecasting models to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Customer Requirements Review: Assess new customer requirements, coordinate with internal teams, and identify process improvements or gaps necessary to meet customer expectations. Strategic Alignment: Drive product and customer strategy, ensuring clear communication and alignment across internal stakeholder groups while troubleshooting issues. Escalation Management: Handle Level 3 customer escalations and OCAP (Out-of-Control Action Plan) support, including preparation of escalation materials, participation in OCAP meetings as needed, and coordination with TM, PM, AM, QA, and QC teams for responses. Cost Reduction Initiatives: Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to optimize profitability. Continuous Improvement: Lead planning and execution of continuous improvement initiatives across processes and operations. Audit Participation: Support major customer audits and provide ongoing assistance for corrective action responses. Collaborating with Senior Planning Manager in costing and pricing for new products and/or customers (including location), including review with AM, support for PM/PLM FSC for new product lines/packaging changes for owned RFQs Initiate and/or Drive MOCs related to plant-wide changes, major expansions, or customer-sensitive changes (bulk sulfuric, building expansion, etc.). Provide customer requirements for all MOCs. Final approver on closure of MOCs. Costing & Pricing Management: Collaborate with Senior Planning Manager in costing and pricing for new products and/or customers, including location-specific considerations. Collaborate with Account Managers (AM) and provide support to Program Managers (PM) and Product Lifecycle Managers (PLM). Financial Structure Control (FSC): Collaborate with Senior Planning Manager in FSC activities for new product lines and packaging changes related to owned RFQs. Management of Change (MOC): Initiate and/or lead MOCs for plant-wide changes, major expansions, or customer-sensitive modifications (e.g., bulk sulfuric handling, building expansions). Define customer requirements for all MOCs and serve as the final approver for MOC closures. Product Change Notification (PCN): Prepare PCN notifications for assigned MOCs, including data presentation, SPC documentation, generic and customer-specific notification forms, and additional requirements such as CoA comparison tables and MERF compliance. Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.” Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations. Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Or minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in related field, ideally in semiconductor chemicals, specialty chemicals, or advanced materials manufacturing. Experience with New Product Development (NPD) processes and stage-gate methodologies. Experience developing and presenting business cases to senior leadership for strategic investment decisions. Semiconductor industry knowledge: Understanding of semiconductor-grade chemical specifications, metrology standards, and customer quality expectations (e.g., CoA, SPC, MERF compliance). Management of Change (MOC) process expertise, particularly for plant-wide or customer-sensitive changes. Product Change Notification (PCN) preparation and management. Supply chain fundamentals: Understanding of warehousing, logistics, packaging, and shipping challenges relevant to chemical products. Financial acumen: Strong understanding of costing, pricing, FSC (Financial Structure Control), and RFQ processes. Strategic planning & road mapping: Ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps. Data-driven decision making: Ability to leverage KPIs and dashboards for performance management. Cross-functional leadership: Ability to coordinate across various technical teams. Escalation management: Composure and skill in handling customer escalations and OCAP processes. Stakeholder communication: Clear, strategic communication to ensure alignment across internal groups. Advisory & mentoring capability: Serving as an advisor to the program team on tasks and operations. Audit readiness: Experience supporting major customer audits and driving corrective action responses. Professionalism: Consistent demonstration of professionalism in appearance, conduct, and attitude. Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software. Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
