Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE A seed-stage identity verification fintech startup is looking for an early Senior Engineer to help build a fast-lane user onboarding experience. You'll be a key contributor to a product that cuts signup time to under 10 seconds — driving conversion improvements across fintech, healthcare, and consumer applications. You'll own the product end-to-end: from data integrations with telcos and banks, to fraud-signal processing at the edge, to a consent-first user experience. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role on a small, fast-moving team. No visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must be US-based or authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own end-to-end onboarding features, from backend data pipelines to frontend user experiences. - Build fast, reliable, production-first systems with a focus on speed, clarity, and correctness. - Instrument, monitor, and iterate on performance and reliability across the full stack. - Collaborate tightly within a small team with short feedback loops and a prod-first mindset. - Ship production-grade software and actively contribute to product decisions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - 2+ years of experience shipping production-grade software in a fast-paced startup environment. - Proficiency with AWS, Node.js, React, Kubernetes, and Terraform. - Experience owning end-to-end features spanning backend data pipelines and frontend user experiences. - Strong computer science fundamentals. - Must be US-based or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (hard requirement). Nice to Have: - Industry experience in fintech, healthcare, or consumer apps. - Background working with identity verification, KYC/AML, or fraud prevention systems. - Familiarity with telco or banking data integrations.
