Position Title: UI/UX Designer Reporting To: Lead – Platform and Technology Solutions Location: Bangalore Job Description The UI/UX Designer plays a critical role in shaping the user experience and ensuring that digital products are visually appealing, functional, and user-centered. The UI/UX Designer’s responsibilities involve a mix of design, coding, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, UX Design, or a related field is preferred - 3-5 years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects and design solutions. - Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 with the ability to hand-code responsive web designs. - Expertise in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools. - Experience with tools such as Adobe Suite, Axure, and Balsamiq Key Responsibilities - User-Centered Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that prioritize user experience and usability. - Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups using industry-standard tools such as Figma. - HTML5 and CSS3: Translate design concepts into HTML/CSS code, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation and responsive design. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide design guidance throughout the development process. - User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine design solutions based on user feedback. - Information Architecture: Create and maintain organized information architectures, ensuring content is easily accessible and structured logically. - Visual Design: Craft visually appealing and consistent design elements, including icons, typography, color schemes, and graphics. - Accessibility: Ensure designs are accessible and comply with WCAG guidelines to make our products inclusive to all users. - Documentation: Create design documentation, including style guides and design specifications, to facilitate collaboration and maintain design consistency. - Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design skills and strategies. Technical Skills and Competencies - Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of user research and usability testing methodologies. - Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer. - Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc and InVision) - Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. - Familiarity with information architecture and interaction design principles. - Verification of designs through reviews, validations, and formal usability testing with end-users. - The ability to provide detailed specifications and/or optimized HTML and CSS prototypes for Developers and Engineers to work. - Experience with designing end-user, business web-based applications. - Creative problem-solving skills and an eye for detail. - Excellent MS Office Skills Personal Competencies - Experience working across organizational boundaries on a local and global basis. - Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels. - Good at managing stakeholder expectations. - Excellent time management skills. - Track individual and team progress and work on improvements. - Be a Solid Team Player and a Global Player. - Adapt to change with ease. - Be able to provide value add by going the extra mile. - Having an interest in building a conscious and sustainable world.
