Maintenance Technician - 1st and 2nd shift

Purpose and Description: Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our 60,000 sq ft production facility in Mounds View. This position is responsible for efficiently repairing and maintaining a wide variety of CNC and manual fabrication equipment to optimize uptime, productivity, and safety. 1st shift - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm 2nd shift - Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am Key Responsibilities: Primary Duties Perform mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of fabrication equipment including: - CNC tube benders, mills, lasers, 6-axis robotic welders - Manual mills and tube benders - Punch presses, brake presses, drill presses - End formers, saws, and cutoff machines Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Communicate repair timelines, updates, and completions clearly with team leads and supervisors Implement and maintain safety protocols: LOTO, chemical storage/disposal, fire extinguisher checks, and emergency lighting Maintain and troubleshoot systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-based controls Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on production needs Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient equipment operation Document all maintenance activity in logs and maintenance software Adhere to safety policies, including lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and PPE compliance
