Student Technician

Service Technicians-Student tech learns hands-on how to perform basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural, commercial and turf equipment. Requires assistance and guidance from the Service Manager or senior technicians. May be required to mow, sweep, carry out trash and clean in shop/yard areas. Must be enrolled in and attend technical training school. Essential Functions The following are essential functions of this position: Assist other technicians in making the following repairs: Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs agricultural and/or turf equipment. Including small engines and power equipment/tools. Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. Gains and maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in neat and orderly fashion. Follows all safety rules and regulations in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time on time card. Ability to operate vehicles and equipment. Fork lift license preferred. High School Diploma is expected. Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs Eligibility Requirements Technicians must provide their own tools that will be necessary to complete assigned jobs.
