About the role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform H&H analysis as it pertains to land development projects, water and sewer design, floodplain modeling, grading, roadway infrastructure and storm drainage systems. Typical project types include both local private and public sites. Plan and design projects following company, construction and regulatory standards Review geotechnical, environmental and transportation reports to identify potential problems and their potential impact Design proficiently in AutoCAD C3D, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS software Assemble and process permits with local jurisdictions and FEMA Perform computations for drainage basin grading requirements, hydrologic runoff rates, hydraulic capacities, and detention/retention facility sizing Provide technical advice regarding H&H design to peers Inspect project sites for progress and ensure conformance with design specifications Adhere to project objectives, timelines, budgets and standards Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 4+ years of experience in H&H engineering design Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required, P.E. license preferred HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required; 2D modeling, ArcGIS and XPSWMM experience preferred
