Job Title : CT Radiographer Banding: Band 7 Locat io n: Glasgow , Lanarkshire Start date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Rate : £ 3 4 - £3 5 per hour Working hours: 3 long days per week, ( 12-hour shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 CT Radiographer to join a dynamic imaging team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for a highly skilled radiographer with a strong background in CT imaging, looking to contribute to a busy and supportive department. The successful candidate will be working with Canon and GE scanners, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support the care of the client’s patients.
What will your responsibilities be
The CT Radiographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of CT examinations with precision and care, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety. Duties include operating Canon and GE CT scanners, managing patient preparation and positioning, and performing cannulation for contrast studies. The role involves working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to departmental protocols and radiation safety standards. Flexibility to work long days, nights, and weekends is essential to meet service demands.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
- Proven experience in CT imaging, preferably at Band 7 level
- Competent in intravenous cannulation
- Strong understanding of radiation protection and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Flexible approach to shift patterns, including nights and weekends
