Your Role

As an Analyst, you will support the underwriting and execution of complex real estate financing transactions across Ascent’s lending platform. You will work closely with underwriters and cross-functional teams to evaluate borrowers, analyze property-level performance, support due diligence efforts, and help drive transactions through the closing process.

This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, highly organized, and eager to learn in a collaborative, execution-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze borrower, guarantor, and property financials, including tax returns, operating statements, rent rolls, and cash flow reporting
  • Assist with underwriting models, credit analyses, and investment memorandums to support financing recommendations
  • Support the evaluation and structuring of real estate lending opportunities across multiple asset types
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across underwriting, servicing, operations, legal, and capital markets to facilitate efficient deal execution
  • Assist with transaction management at initial review.
  • Conduct market research and supply-demand analysis to support investment and credit decisions
  • Maintain organized loan files, track transaction milestones, and ensure accuracy of documentation and reporting
  • Participate in borrower meetings, and due diligence reviews as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies across the underwriting and execution workflow

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in finance, commercial real estate, lending, underwriting, or related analytical roles preferred
  • Strong financial analysis and Excel modeling capabilities
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take initiative
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Experience with loan underwriting, credit analysis, or real estate financial analysis is a plus <
