MECHANIC

JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision, maintains and repairs a variety of equipment including diesel engines, heavy trucks, pumping equipment, lifting equipment and other oilfield related equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on the fleet. Dismantles and reassembles heavy duty engines using hoists and hand tools, as needed. Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts. Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications. Fabricates needed parts or items from sheet metal. Researches, orders, and maintains the inventory of parts for service and repairs to ensure we are Ready to Rent. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Inspect, adjust, and replace necessary units and related parts. Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems. Fabricate and weld to repair equipment as necessary. Clean and maintain the work area and equipment. MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS (Company to provide welders, torch, grinder, and some other tools)
