About the role

Build your payroll career supporting one of the Midwest's fastest-growing companies. Delavan Holdings is seeking a Payroll Specialist (Payroll Administrator) to join our corporate payroll team. In this role, you'll process multi-entity payroll using Paylocity for multiple businesses, including Kunes Auto Group, Lake Lawn Resort, Geneva10, and other Delavan Holdings companies. If you're organized, detail-oriented, enjoy working with numbers, and want to develop expertise in multi-company payroll, Paylocity, payroll compliance, commissions, benefits, and employee support , we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As a Payroll Specialist, you'll help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time by: Process payroll for multiple companies using Paylocity Compile payroll information including: Hours worked Overtime Commissions Bonuses Payroll deductions Benefit contributions Garnishments Payroll taxes Review payroll reports for completeness and accuracy before processing Maintain employee payroll records including: Pay changes Promotions Transfers Tax elections Benefit deductions Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll data Process direct deposits and payroll adjustments Track PTO, vacation, sick leave, and other paid time off Assist with new hire onboarding and termination payroll processing Coordinate COBRA and employee benefit documentation Answer employee payroll questions professionally and confidentially Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies Requirements What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines Comfortable working with numbers and payroll calculations Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Experience learning HRIS or payroll software (Paylocity experience is a plus) Preferred Qualifications We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including: Payroll Payroll Administration Accounting Bookkeeping Human Resources Office Administration Finance Preferred qualifications include: High school diploma or GED Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is a plus Payroll or accounting experience preferred but not required Equivalent education and experience will be considered Why Delavan Holdings?
