As Group Compliance Officer , you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening Virya Energy's compliance framework and culture across the Group. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to establish governance structures, translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business standards, and embed compliance into processes, systems, and decision-making. By partnering with teams across the organization, monitoring compliance effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement, you will help ensure that integrity, accountability, and sustainable growth remain at the heart of everything we do. Responsabilities: Compliance governance: Define, maintain, and continuously improve the compliance governance framework, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, decision rights, escalation paths, and oversight mechanisms across the organization. Regulatory compliance lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end regulatory compliance process, from regulatory scanning and interpretation to translating requirements into internal policies, standards, procedures, and guidance. Business implementation: Support the implementation of compliance requirements into business processes, systems, controls, and organizational capabilities, partnering with business owners and subject-matter experts. Controls monitoring and testing: Monitor and test the effectiveness of compliance controls, identify gaps or weaknesses, and support practical remediation and continuous improvement actions. Issues and incident management: Manage compliance issues and incidents from intake and investigation through root-cause analysis, corrective action planning, follow-up, and closure. Management reporting: Provide transparent reporting to management and relevant stakeholders on compliance status, key risks, control effectiveness, open issues, and remediation progress. Advisory and awareness: Act as a trusted advisor to teams across the Group by providing clear compliance guidance, coordinating awareness initiatives, and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
