About the role
We're Hiring: Ophthalmic Scrub Nurses & Practitioners Be part of a trusted and caring team delivering exceptional theatre and ophthalmic services.
Hours : 34.5 hours per week Schedule : Monday to Friday | Between 08:00 – 18:00 Job Share : Available for candidates who can commit to set days Travel : Flexibility to work across multiple sites in your area
Experience Required
• Theatre Scrub Nurses or Practitioners
• Ophthalmic experience preferred (private sector experience is a bonus)
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in a clinical/hospital setting
• Current NMC Registration required
Competitive Pay Rates : £32.50 - £43.24
Key Responsibilities
• Provide scrub experience and clinical support in theatre
• Deliver full patient care from admission to post-op recovery
• Administer drugs per NMC guidelines and manage stock levels
• Maintain and prepare all equipment daily, adhering to safety procedures
• Support consultants and teams in delivering ophthalmic care
• Adhere to clinical governance and record-keeping policies
• Participate in weekend and “on-call” rotas
• Uphold patient confidentiality per the Data Protection Act
• Assist at nearby clinics as needed
• Undertake in-house ALS training

• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
