Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views. JOB PURPOSE: Massage Therapists are responsible for guest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Omni standards throughout all procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • As part of the MOKARA Spa team, spa providers are to consistently perform the highest possible standard of treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives. • Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and setting up the treatment rooms according to procedures. • Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines. • Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste. • To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are always being followed. • Relay, with confidence, both product and service benefits to guests and offer suggested retail and treatment opportunities. • Strive to consistently produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales daily, weekly, and monthly. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 1-year of experience as a Massage Therapist preferably in an upscale salon or spa setting. • Current State of Forida Massage License. • Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage therapy. • Good verbal/written communication skills. • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers, always operating with a strong attention to detail to the client’s needs. • Ability to work well under pressure, managing back-to-back appointments in a high volume 4 diamond environment. • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. • Responsible and dependable with ability to fulfill on-call scheduling needs. • Must obtain a current City Business Tax Permit with the city of Fort Lauderdale upon hire. • Must obtain a State of Florida TIPS Alcoholic Beverage Server Permit. ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS: • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. Stand and/or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: • Desktop computer, selected spa program, printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner. Cleaning supplies such as vacuum, mop, broom, duster and chemicals.
