About the role

Job Summary The Bowling Mechanic is responsible for providing repair, preventative maintenance, and operational support for Brunswick A-2 pinsetters, AMF scoring systems, and related bowling equipment within the DAC Bowling Center. This position works under the direction of the Head Mechanic to ensure bowling operations run safely and efficiently during league play, tournaments, open bowling, and special events by responding promptly to mechanical issues, maintaining equipment functionality, and supporting General Bowling Center maintenance needs. Essential Responsibilities: Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and operational upkeep on Brunswick A-2 pinsetters and AMF scoring systems under the guidance of the Head Mechanic. Respond promptly to service calls from the Bowling Desk and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions during league bowling, tournaments, and special events. Complete routine machine stops and minor repairs within established response time expectations whenever possible. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and scoring system issues efficiently to minimize operational downtime. Maintain and organize mechanical parts, tools, and repair supplies necessary for daily operations and emergency repairs. Anticipate inventory needs and ensure an adequate supply of replacement parts is available. Assist with maintenance and repair of additional Bowling Center equipment, including scoring CPUs, computer interface systems, monitors, keypads, ball returns, lanes, and approaches. Perform general Bowling Center maintenance and operational support tasks as assigned. Follow all safety procedures and ensure electrical power is disconnected prior to servicing pinsetters or related equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the mechanics and bowling operational areas. Reference repair manuals, preventative maintenance guides, and technical resources to support troubleshooting and repairs. Work collaboratively with Bowling Center staff to support league operations, tournaments, and member satisfaction. Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, overtime, and special events as needed.
