Shipping Clerk LOCATION: Loudon, TN SCHEDULE : Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Who are we looking for: Success as a Shipping at Protomet comes down to efficiency, organization, and attitude. Experience is great, but we love developing employees under our roof as well. (protomet.com/apprentice) FUNCTION: Shipping Clerks own the flow of goods in and out of the facility. They work in our ERP system to ensure goods are accounted for and shipped on time. They are organized, effective communicators, and have a great attention to detail. OUTCOMES: Tracks and logs the goods that arrive to the plant as well as those shipping out. Updates the inventory control system. Request Return Authorization and ship items back when necessary. Enter data and maintain accuracy of inventory spreadsheets. Make bins and update labels when necessary. Perform cycle counts. Reading shipping schedule and prioritizing assembly for daily requirements. Boxing and labeling product for defect free shipping. Building and assembling pallets for shipping.
