About the role

Responsible for the comfort of the members/guests of the spa while providing the highest quality of hair services with an unparalleled level of service for all members/guests. The Hair Stylist is responsible for hair services, including shampooing, cutting, coloring, styling hair, and massaging and treatment of the scalp. Knowledge of principles and processing for providing customer and personal services including customer assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Ability to be patient and courteous listener, displaying empathy for all members/guests. Able to enforce rules and regulations tactfully. Able to communicate effectively in writing and/or expressively. Greet every member/guest entering the facility in a professional manner and make them feel comfortable. Ability to explain various treatments and services to members/guests. Generate product sales and future appointment bookings. Ability to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner. Must be able to work well with others as a team. Know what treatment your client is scheduled to receive prior to greeting your client, and verify it with them Check and recheck the schedule before and after every client to ensure that no changes have been made. Studies/Analyzes facial features of members to help determine the best cut and/or trim to achieve desired results. Dyes, tints, bleaches, curls, waves, and traditional blowout. Analyze client’s condition to determine contraindications and best treatment for hair to provide the best results. Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation and be able to handle a variety of duties. Perform only hair services offered by Boca Woods Country Club per the spa menu. Restock all products and linens for the next service/day/shift. Secure products to the best of your ability. Remain on schedule with client appointments and complete treatments on time. Remove dirty linens after each client and place in appropriate receptacle. If running late with a client, you must notify receptionist and the next client before their scheduled time commences. Take an active part in the sales of retail items with detailed item knowledge. Have working knowledge of check-in/out of members and guests according to established procedures. Handle telephone inquiries courteously and efficiently. Report to shift dressed appropriately, on-time, and adhering to grooming standards at all times. Never leave the spa without prior authorization or notice to Supervisor. Assist in other areas of the spa during down time. Follow all state and club guidelines for sanitation procedures. Requirements: Knowledge of spa and salon services. Ability to analyze and determine contraindications of client’s hair conditions. Ability to perform all hair services listed in spa brochure. Possess and maintain current cosmetology license from the State of Florida. Must be aware of and follow all aspects of job safety. Needs a flexible schedule to workday, night, weekends and holidays. Must have successfully completed and graduated from cosmetology. Must have a valid state license. Must have at least 2 years’ experience. Must have at least 2 years experience in the country club or hospitality industry. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Compensation: This is a part-time, independent contractor position . Compensation is based on commission of services rendered (60%–70%) . Focused on continued development of a culture in which all staff are committed creating “wow” moments for Members and guests. Works closely with Club partnerships and approved consultants to ensure successful recruitment, retention and performance of the team members who represent the Organization. Greets guests and maintains a visible and approachable presence throughout the operation. Responds to Member/guest complaints and promptly addresses their concerns. Holds and attends regular team meetings for reports, developing alignment across all areas of responsibility. As a “Team Player” of Boca Woods Country Club, the Clubhouse Manager must be flexible and is required to perform any job, in whatever capacity, as requested by the General Manager that may be necessary for the smooth operation of Boca Woods Country Club.
