About the role
As part of the Singapore Business Intelligence team, you would be responsible for supporting the Singapore operations as we scale. Our goal is to ensure that the Singapore team has ready access to quality reports, dashboards and data to facilitate business decision making to their best capabilities. BigQuery is our current data warehouse solution where we gather the data from all of GO-JEK’s microservices for better data discovery experience and to get new insight for business analysis. We use Airflow as a scheduler and dependency management solution for all BI jobs at various frequencies. Plus Google Deployment Manager and Docker for provisioning and application management solution. The 2 main visualisation tools we use are Tableau and Metabase. Responsibilities: Develop a strong understanding of GOJEK’s data warehouse and pipeline in order to provide the right data to business users Build reports, ad-hoc queries and dashboards as needed by the Singapore operations team in order to monitor business health and deep dive into data to solve business problems Be a driver of action within the Singapore team to identify valuable business insights to further grow our operations in Singapore Evaluate the many, iterative experiments we run regularly and their impact to our North Star Metric Build internal tools and automated process to reduce time spent by the team to solve ad-hoc requests Be a trusted business advisor to the Singapore operations in terms of how to use data in the most effective manner to solve problems, and not just being reactive to requests You should have a keen eye for patterns in data. You should engage in hypothesis driven problem solving & build processes/tooling that makes it easy for your teammates to do the same. You should be able to suggest A/B tests and experimentation for product features, analyze how the key metrics respond and evaluate, whether to increase exposure or stop the experiment. You will engage and partner with various teams in product and engineering to conduct research and gather information from various sources and tools. Contribute to the learning and development of the BI team. Continuous learning is a requirement within the team--we have to always be growing Your Toolset : Python or R SQL CleverTap/Appsflyer BI Visualisation, eg. Tableau, Metabase, Looker, etc A passion for Mathematics and Statistics Basic Requirements : 0 - 5 years experience A firm grasp of statistics An expert in SQL of all flavors: BigQuery, Postgres, MySQL and data modeling And most importantly: The ability to balance “Always being prepared” with “Fast and fearless” execution - we need to do things FAST, and we need to do them WELL. If you know how to juggle the analysis of 3 concurrently running experiments AND assist in the launch of 2 more, you’ll do well Strong understanding and implementation of predictive / analytical modelling techniques (SQL, R, and Python), theories, principles, and practices. Strong quantitative ability, problem solving and excellent analysis skills.
