Lead by example. Maintain excellence. Make an impact. We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of our communities. This hands-on role is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair work, overseeing preventative maintenance efforts, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a high standard of service for residents and staff. The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as a trusted resource to the Maintenance Director and site leadership team and may provide guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentice and entry-level maintenance technicians. This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities Will provide on-the-job training, technical guidance, and mentorship to apprentice and entry-level maintenance technicians. Serves as a subject matter resource for maintenance best practices, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs in partnership with the Maintenance Director. You are comfortable troubleshooting complex building systems, coordinating multiple priorities, and supporting the development of less experienced team members while delivering exceptional service to residents and community stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry. Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and building systems. Experience creating and managing preventative maintenance schedules. Ability to mentor and train junior maintenance staff. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, life safety systems, and facilities maintenance best practices. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or electronic work order platforms.
