Our vision We aim to become the most beloved financial Operating System of French SMEs and Accounting Firms — and soon, European ones. We help entrepreneurs rid themselves of time-consuming accounting and finance tasks, while giving them the financial insights they need to make better decisions for their business. About us Pennylane is one of the fastest-growing Fintechs in 🇫🇷 — and soon across Europe. In 5 years of existence, we've managed to: 💻 Build a groundbreaking accounting and financial platform used by SMEs and their accountants 💰 Raise a total of €225M — including from Sequoia, the Silicon Valley fund behind Google, Airbnb, Stripe and Paypal 👨👩👧👦 Grow from 7 co-founders to 850+ happy Pennylaners, recognized as one of the best places to work in France (4.6/5 on Glassdoor) 🌍 Build a 25+ nationality team, with 30% of employees working remotely across Europe 🚀 Earn the trust of 700,000+ SMEs and 4,500+ accounting firms in France Role Context You are joining the Financial Services track and reporting to its General Manager as a Senior Group Product Manager. The goal of this track is to build a payment and credit offering natively integrated into Pennylane's management tool, to strengthen the value of its product suite for European SMEs. You will take ownership of a Monetisation product group in the scale phase, structured around two verticals: Payment Acceptance (scaling the impact of already launched products) and Credit (building a short-term credit offering). The ambition is threefold: accelerate the monetisation strategy, complete the product offering, and create a customer experience that moves Pennylane closer to the status of a primary account. In this regard, you play a critical role in the organisation, with the objective of doubling the contribution of financial services to Pennylane's revenue and building a credit offering from scratch to make it a genuine growth driver. You manage 3 Product Managers covering three squads: Cash-in (direct debits, payment links, incoming transfers, cheques), Payment terminals (Adyen partnership, payment terminals) and Credit (cash advance, scoring, credit infrastructure supporting ongoing regulatory applications). Key Responsibilities - Product Strategy - Own the product vision and execution strategy for the Monetisation group, in alignment with short- and medium-term business objectives, with coherent cross-squad prioritisation (trade-offs, dependencies, sequencing, capacity). - Co-build with Strategy & Ops and Marketing teams a coherent acquisition and go-to-market strategy (positioning, activation, growth loops), particularly on the payment acceptance side. - Management Manage, coach and develop 3 PMs, by structuring rituals, raising the bar, and improving the quality of product decisions. You will work with a mix of new PMs and senior PMs at Pennylane, with multiple management and growth challenges. - Stakeholders - Work in close collaboration with Data on scoring (direct debits, credit) and impact measurement (adoption, activation, revenue, risk), and anticipate data staffing needs within your scope. - Build an effective relationship between Product and Ops/Risk/Compliance around the regulatory challenges that affect your scope. - Manage relationships with our strategic partners: Defacto on credit, Adyen on payment terminals. - Impact - Accelerate the adoption and penetration of payment acceptance products (Cash-in + Payment terminals), maximising impact on revenue and usage. - Build the short-term Credit offering (cash advance): scoping, discovery, launch, iterations, and scale-up. Part of your mission will also be to support the construction of our credit stack, which will enable us to operate the licences currently being applied for. - Your North Star is revenue, driven by the activation of your features and their penetration, with the ambition of making it a major monetisation lever for Pennylane. Your success criteria at twelve months are as follows: - Acceleration of the primary account rate in our customer base through adoption of our payment acceptance solutions - Significant contribution of credit to financial services revenue - Upskilling and consolidation of your team Desired Profile - Significant hybrid experience in Strategy and Product Management on products with strong business stakes, ideally in fintech, payments, lending, or transactional platform contexts. - Proven PM management experience (coaching, upskilling, team structuring). - Very strong data-driven mindset: metrics, instrumentation, experimentation, penetration optimisation. - Ability to co-build an acquisition/penetration strategy with cross-functional impact. - Ability to manage strategic partnerships and identify build/buy opportunities within your scope. - Ability to operate on infrastructure & operational topics (reliability, run, incidents, partner dependencies). - Excellent cross-functional alignment skills (Tech, Data, Marketing, Ops). - Pragmatic, results-oriented leadership, with a high bar on the business dimension.
