Mobile Engineer - Game Development

2 - 4 Years Experience We are looking for a talented Mobile Engineer - Game Development to join our team to help make a next generation game-like digital education platform. This role will focus on building the best experience possible for our students. Responsibilities: Collaborate with product management to define, design, and build new student-facing activity (game-like) features. Work closely with designers and other engineers to implement the XSEED learning experience on phones, tablets, and desktops. Tackle some of the most challenging problems with high-performance interaction, connected-system integration, and more. Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced environment. Build rapid product prototype based on requirements and iterative design process Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems Conduct design and code reviews Requirements: BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Experience building games or interaction based apps using HTML5, Cocos2D-JS, and/or Unity Object Oriented programming experience with knowledge of design patterns. Strong mobile developer with experience shipping high-profile, user-facing products. Working in large code bases, and engineering features for high-performance interactivity, maintainability and scalability. Solid background integrating with JSON, HTTP, RESTful services Problem Solver. You find clever ways around problems, or just plow through them. Passion for delivering great user experience Experience tuning performance of client applications Strong communication and documentation skills Desired: Server side programming experience in PHP, Ruby on Rails, or Python Ability to innovate and partner with our design team to build multiple prototypes quickly Experience releasing successful mobile applications to the Apple App store or Android Marketplace Experience with multiple mobile platforms Experience developing content for children Startup work experience
