Machinist- Weekend Shift

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Team Leader and General Manager. The machinist will begin to set-up with proper instruction and learn basic 3-axis programs; draw a part in CAD. Days: Friday – Sunday Times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM $4.00 Shift Premium Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours Full-time benefits, PTO, and holiday pay are included. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBITIES: Read refractometer to maintain proper concentration and coolant levels. In addition to setting tools and making offsets in tool page, load a program and establish work holding positions and make minor program edits. Edit individual tool feed rates to establish SFM (Surface Feet per Minute) and related chip loads. Read, interpret, and understand blueprint specifications to methods of manufacturing (MOM) per routing. Identify when to replace dull tooling before catastrophic failure. Complete any and all paperwork as required; Job Traveler, VISTA, etc. Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality and safety regulations and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
