About the role

Nott Company has a strong and continuous commitment in providing high quality products and services to a variety of manufacturer customers and other industrial customers. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist for our Brooklyn Park, MN location. What you will be responsible for? • Establish and implement procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety of the Company’s products, raw materials and services at assigned locations. • Perform random quality audits on the production floor, verifying the process is being followed and the customer’s specifications are being met. • Provide support in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other supporting documents. • Coordinate and administer third party quality audits, schedules, communication, reports and tracking of follow-up actions. • Coordinate and perform internal quality system audits at the assigned location. • Administer the corrective/preventive action program, including tracking status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses and disposition of material in a timely manner. • Complete customer quality documentation including First Article Documents, Control Plans, FMEA’s, PPAP’s, and Capability Studies. • Ensure equipment is calibrated in accordance to specifications. • Oversee and continuously improve the site’s quality testing and measuring capabilities. • Participate in the Management Review process. • Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement and safety. • Perform other duties as assigned. What will you need? • Minimum 5 years industrial manufacturing and/or quality control experience, including lean quality concepts and initiatives such as Continuous Improvement, The 5 Why’s, Auditing, and Driving ISO Standards. • Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in quality engineering or related field preferred • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be a substitute of the degree. • Excellent communication skills (written and oral). • Strong problem-solving skills. • Computer proficient, including Outlook, Word and Excel Want to know more about the job? • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm • Overtime maybe required to support business needs. • Profit participation payout each quarter based on company profitability. • Annual company contribution to your ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) retirement account.
